SITE: TRIMET
DUTIES: Assist Tri-Met employees and/or Transit Police with incidents that may impact ridership safety
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed 1 of the following = Police Academy, Federal Police Academy, or Military Police Academy
- High school diploma or GED
- No felony, sexual or drug related convictions, or any non-traffic misdemeanors within the last five years
- Completion of DPSST armed officer licensing
- Full Time Shifts Only
CSO 2
CUSTOMER SAFETY OFFICER 2
LOCATION: PORTLAND
SITE: TRIMET
DUTIES: Provide customer service, safety, and security in and around the Tri-Met transit system
REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess one or more of the following:
- Service in any branch of the US Military
- Honorable discharge in any US Military branch
- Verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting
- Graduated a Reserve Police Officer Academy
- Graduated from Police Cadet Academy
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- Associate’s degree or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Full Time Shifts Only
SRT
COMMUNITY OUTREACH SRT
LOCATION: PORTLAND
SITE: TRIMET
DUTIES: Seek to help all Tri-Met passengers including those in crisis, or those near crisis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- proven customer service skills and/or experience
- GED or High School Diploma
- Full Time or Part Time Shifts

UNARMED OFFICER
LOCATION: PORTLAND
SITE: VARIOUS
DUTIES: Follow a “hands-off” policy in solving problems related to street disturbances and deterrence of crime
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18yrs of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- A willingness to work outdoors throughout the year
- A stable work history
- Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time
- Full Time or Part Time Shifts
ARMED OFFICER
LOCATION: PORTLAND
SITE: HILLSBORO
DUTIES: Protect and welcome visitors, ensure that people observe the rules necessary to keep everyone safe, prevent problems and protect all property.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21yrs of age
- High school or GED required
- 5yrs of law enforcement experience in a patrol capacity
- Completion of DPSST armed officer licensing
- Full Time Shifts Only
